How to apply
Traditionally grants have been given to individuals to cover household items such as baby necessities, furniture, carpets, washing machines, cookers or clothing.
However in recent years we have also made grants available to suitable organisations within our catchment of the Highgate area and you can see some examples on our home page.

The trust makes about 85 grants per year which are usually up to £600 per application.

Dear Sir, You have helped my son J.F. in the past. He has learning difficulties and is registered severely sight impaired (blind). His income is ESA and DLA. J. has an iphone 6 from which he can make free calls via facetime to his family ... Recently, he has suffered some time of no electricity due to his smart meter failing to register his top-ups and as a result, the electricity has been cut off multiple times and, and he was unable to contact me for help. No electricity for him meant no heating, cooking, shower, tv, internet and telephone! Is it possible for the charity to assist him in buying a refurbished smart iphone which is 4G which will mean he can contact us both inside the home and outside even if the electricity goes down? … M.’

‘Just to say ... It is such a pleasure to hear from M. that she has received the finance and is able to resolve the issue now. I just wanted to say thanks as a social worker.’
